The 25 member states of the European Union have imposed a ban on take off and
landing on a surprisingly great number of airlines. Almost 100 carriers
from twelve countries are part of the first joint Black List of unsafe
airlines. Due to deficiencies in security or inadequate security checks
the predominantly African companies are no longer allowed to approach
the airports within the European Union.
